Bingle Jells - Sholished and Piney

Santa tours the grounds

Santa Claus toured the grounds of the North Pole yesterday, making sure all is ready for the big rush to Christmas. He was accompanied by Mrs. Claus and Bernard Elf.

At the dollmaking house, the group admired the wonderful new fashions created by both Louis Elf and Ali Elf. "It's easy to see which doll fashions were designed by which elf," Mrs. Claus noted, "although I'm not sure how well some of them will go over. Louis loves lace, but I don't think it works on a soldier doll. And Ali needs to tone down stuff like this," she said, holding up a newborn baby doll with pink hair wearing a ripped t-shirt.

"I've already spoken to them, Mother," said Santa.

The trio was joined at the reindeer barn by North Pole Times Sports reporter Timbo Elf, as they watched the stable elves prepare for the Reindeer Games. "It seems to me that Dasher is prancing a lot, while Prancer seems to have an unusually high amount of dash in him," observed Bernard Elf.

"Dasher and Prancer switched stalls over the summer," Timbo informed him. Dasher's dashing, Prancer's prancing."

The tour was stopped momentarily by a large wad of sleighbells that seemed to be moving all by themselves. A few moments of untangling revealed Twinkle Elf, the littlest elf at the North Pole, showing Santa his work.

"I did the bingle jells!" He squeaked. "They're all sholished and piney!"

"Twinkle gets a bit mixed up when he's excited," explained Bernard Elf. "He meant he did the Jingle Bells. They're all..."

"Polished and shiny," finished Santa. "Yes, I can see that. Good job, Twinkle! They're so bright I may not need Rudolph this year!"

There's a lot of excitement in the air up here at the North Pole. If you'd like to keep up with everything that's happening as Santa, the elves and the reindeer prepare for the "Big Night," be sure to check back everyday through Christmas, right here at the North Pole Times!
