SANTA GOES POOF!

Elves, Mrs. Claus Try to Bring Him Back

[SANTA GOES POOF!]

During a demonstration of an upgraded Appendapulator, the great toy-making machine of the North Pole, Santa Claus suddenly disappeared. Witnesses report that there was some sort of popping sound, and Santa was no longer there!

Gizmo Elf, Santa's Chief Toymaking Elf, and inventor of the Appendapulator, immediately set about retrieving him. Unfortunately, he didn't know where Santa was sent!

"You mean you don't know? How could you not know where he was sent? You demonstrate a new function of this big clonking thing, and you don't know what you're doing" asked an increasingly frantic Mrs. Claus.

"It's not like I was planning on sending Santa anywhere," explained Gizmo. "That's not what the Appendapulator was supposed to do! It was supposed to send TOYS directly under the trees in houses on Christmas Eve, not send Santa off to who-knows-where!"

[by Elvin Elf] "I know where!" said Waldo Elf.

"If there was some way to contact him, we could just call and ask him where he is," said Mrs. Claus.

"I know where he is!" said Waldo again.

"Well, he doesn't have his Wow-wee-whipper-do computer, so he can't contact us with that," mused Gizmo.

"And he doesn't like mobile phones, so we can't use that to find him," added Mrs. Claus.

"I know where you can find Santa Claus!" said Waldo yet again, bouncing up and down.

"Well, before I do anything, I need to figure out what went wrong with the Appendapulator, so that it doesn't happen again!"

Will the elves find Santa? Can they get him back to the North Pole? And why won't anyone listen to Waldo? Keep reading the North Pole Times to find out!
