Santa Not Fretting - Email's Update

Santa at School?

[Santa Not Fretting - Email's Update]

Mrs. Claus appeared at the doorway of the workshop. "Santa sent us another email!" she called.

The elves were all busy getting the Appendapulator, the great toymaking machine of the North Pole, ready to make toys, but they all stopped to listen to Mrs. Claus read the email.

Hello all at the North Pole!, she read. It's warmer than average here in Rochester, NY, but, since I live at the North Pole, it's really not bad.

Speaking of weather, they say that every cloud has a silver lining, and I believe it! For example, I could be sitting around fretting that I was popped away from the North Pole just as the Christmas Season began, but instead, I decided to take a stroll along the streets to see what I could find.

Well, I happened to be walking past a school with a wonderful name--The World of Inquiry! Nearby, I heard some beautiful singing. Usually, when I hear singing this time of year, it's Christmas Carols, but this was different--it was a song from China! I walked around, near the school and I saw a group of children singing different songs from all over the world - and some of the songs WERE Christmas Carols in Spanish. They were marvelous!

But that wasn't the best part of my visit. The kids were accepting donations for the Salvation Army. What a splendid idea, and what a selfless act! It does my heart good to see boys and girls so willing to give of themselves at this time of year.

Well, I think that this is enough for one email now. I think I'll head over to a little bakery close by to try some of their cookies! Don't worry, Mother--I'll only have a few! I expect that you'll figure out a way to get me back home soon, and I'll tell you more stories about my adventures then!

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Santa

Mrs. Claus looked at all of the smiling elves, and smiled herself. "I know you've all been working very hard this year, but like Santa said, there's lots of children out there who deserve a Merry Christmas, so let's get things going up here!"

Will the elves be able to get Santa back in time for Christmas? Or will he just stay in Rochester and eat cookies? Keep reading The North Pole Times to find out!
