Santa Goes POOF - AGAIN!

Not Sure Where He is

[Santa Goes POOF - AGAIN!]

The email was short:

"Dear North Pole Folk:

I'm not sure what's going on up there--heck, I'm not sure what's going on down here. I'm not sure where here is, in fact!. All I know is...one moment, I'm in Rochester, NY, now I'm not there anymore. If I had to guess, I'd say I'm somewhere in Texas, but maybe not. There's some trees, and an old country road. I'm going to start walking down it, and I'll see where it takes me.

Only nine more days 'til Christmas! I hope I get back to the North Pole in time. You all had better be getting everything ready in my absence. I'm going to start thinking about who will guide the sleigh in case I don't make it back in time. I'll let you know who I pick later.

I'm confident this will work out fine! At least I think I'm confident!

Ho Ho Ho,

Santa

ps: I don't know if this means anything, but this last time, when I popped here, I could swear I smelled Mrs. Claus' chicken pot pie!"

Gizmo Elf and Mrs. Claus looked at each other after reading the note. "Interesting," said Gizmo, "he smelled the pot pie while he was being popped! That may mean, that whenever we pop him, he is popping through the North Pole, to somewhere else!"

"Now if you can just get him to stay here the next time, we'll be all set!" cried Mrs. Claus excitedly.

Waldo looked up from where he was sitting and finishing up the last bits of chicken pot pie. "Mmm wnnnm nm wff gfffn guh gng df fwwwng," he said.

"Don't talk with your mouth full, dear," Mrs. Claus said, "and wipe off your tunic. You've got crust all over it."

Waldo chewed and brushed. Then he swallowed. "Sorry, 'scuse me." he said.

"That's okay Waldo," said Gizmo. "Now, what did you just say?"

"I said, 'sorry, 'scuse me,'" said Waldo.

"Before that. When you had your mouth full," said Mrs. Claus.

"Oh. I said, 'I wanna know who's going to drive the sleigh.'"

That's a good question, isn't it? Do you want to know? Well, then keep checking back to The North Pole Times to find out!
