Gizmo's Gizmo to Swap Presents

Claus Claims Simple Switch Prevents Problem

Gizmo Elf's latest invention--the Presentator--still hummed. The two wrapped gifts that the Presentator switched still glowed faintly.

"I've just switched those two presents inside their packages," said Gizmo, proudly. "It's perfect for children who can't make up their minds what they want for Christmas."

"Ho ho ho! I already have a way of dealing with that!" said Santa, and he went over to the packages. The took the tag that read 'For Samaya' off the one present, and placed it on the other present, then took the tag that read 'For Susan' off the second present, and placed it on the first!

Gizmo looked stunned. "You just swapped the present tags, instead of swapping the stuff inside the box?" Gizmo thought about this, and shrugged. "That solves a problem. I was having a hard time swapping microscopes and bicycles."

"I just give everybody strawberry-and-mustard-pudding for Christmas," announced Waldo Elf as he walked into the workshop. "That way I don't have to worry about things like this!"

"Yes, Waldo, we remember," said Ali Elf, holding her stomach at the memory.

"You wanted to see me, Santa?" asked Waldo.

"We have a special job for you this year," said Santa to the little elf. "We're going to send you to the South Pole, to see if it's a good place to put another workshop!"

"Great!" said Waldo. "I've always liked the south!"

Just then a bolt of lightning struck the building, and the Presentator went 'blurp' and the two people nearest the machine began to glow in a blue light--Santa, and Waldo!
