Christmas Prep Begins!

Today's the unofficial start of the Christmas shopping season, and here at the North Pole, it's no different--except, of course, what we shop for. While Down Below (the North Pole elves term for everyplace that is NOT the North Pole) people are shopping for socks and mittens and microwave ovens and all the boring stuff adults get for Christmas, up here we shop for things to make the presents for all the children that Santa visits!

Gizmo Elf--Santa's chief inventing elf--has a whole bunch of electronic doodads that he uses to make sure the Appendapulator--the great toymaking machine of the North Pole--is in full working order. Bernard Elf, who's in charge of Santa's email, makes sure Santa's Wow-wee-whooper-do laptop is in top shape so that he doesn't miss a single Christmas wish. (Have you sent your wish list in yet?)

And Timbo Elf has bought lots and lots of reindeer food to make sure all the reindeer are ready to play in the Reindeer Games--and make that great flight around the world on Christmas Eve!
