Dasher
Dasher is one of Santa's fastest reindeer. He loves to dash through the snow pulling a sleigh - any sleigh. In fact, the first line in the song 'Jingle Bells' was inspired by Dasher when he had to rush Santa to an important meeting back in the mid 1800s.
Dancer
Dancer is one of Santa's more graceful reindeer. Simply put, she loves to dance! She always does well in the Reindeer Games Figure Skating competition. Her responsibility is to keep all the reindeer in time. She uses her inherit lively rhythm to do just that. She's a big fan of disco music from back in the late 1970s.
Prancer
With probably the strongest hind legs of the entire team, Prancer struts in a spirited manner with great confidence. Those strong legs are also used to slow down Santa's sleigh on some of the more slippery rooftop landings around the world.
Vixen
Vixen is considered one of the more beautiful reindeer but she does have a bit of a temper. One of the most responsible of the Great Eight, she is extremely smart, graceful, and consistently performs at a high level. She is also a strong leader and mentor.
Comet
With his remarkable speed, Comet has been known to whip up a trail of snow behind him when flying alone - mimicking the celestial body he's named after. To witness this is absolutely breathtaking! Along with Dasher, Comet is a big reason why Santa Claus can get around the entire world in just one night.
Cupid
Cupid is quite the "ladies man" (or deer) known for bringing love to every household on Christmas Eve. He loves being part of Santa's "Great Eight" and pulling the sleigh around the world with the rest of the team. Many people feel the presence of the love Cupid leaves behind on Christmas morn.
Donder
People often pronounce and spell his name wrong and that includes Johnny Marks when he mispronounced the name by calling him Donner while recording the famous song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" in 1949. In an effort to save time & money re-tracking, he left it as it was, not thinking it would cause the controversy that it has. We know it's Donder because he lives here at the North Pole and we see him practically everyday. Donder is one of Santa's strongest reindeer. His astonishing torque is essential to lifting Santa's sleigh packed full of toys.
Donder is also Rudolph's father.
Blitzen
Power. Strength. Intensity. Three words that best describe the magnificence of Santa's eighth reindeer. Blitzen is probably the strongest of all the reindeer - although Donder can give him a run for his money. It's no accident this mighty duo is the closest to the sleigh. While the other reindeer are fast and graceful, and can zip around corners, under trees and bridges and avoid aircraft, Donder and Blitzen are responsible for actually lifting the unimaginable weight of the sleigh from a dead stop.
Rudolph
The most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was bullied as an adolescent due to his glowing red nose. Relentlessly mocked and excluded from the Reindeer Games by his peers, on one Christmas Eve with poor visibility due to inclement weather, Rudolph proved himself after Santa Claus caught sight of Rudolph's nose and asked him to lead his sleigh for the evening. The result speaks for itself. Rudolph saved Christmas that year causing all the reindeer to shout out with glee "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer You'll go down in history"
