This Popsicle Stick Gingerbread House Craft is the perfect Christmas craft to stimulate that imagination and get those hands moving. [Popsicle Stick Gingerbread House Craft ]


  • Popsicle sticks
  • Poster paint (brown, red, white)
  • Paintbrush
  • Trinkets (pompoms, buttons, beads, etc.)
  • Colored markers
  • White plain paper
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue

Directions to make Popsicle Stick Gingerbread House Craft :

1. Line up your popsicle sticks vertically and start gluing two sticks at the back in a horizontal position. Leave the glue to dry. This will be your gingerbread house base.

2. Cut the sides of five popsicle sticks to create a triangular form. The bottom being the longest then the top stick being the shortest.

3. Get another two popsicle sticks and glue them on the top part of each corner to create the roof.

4. Glue the roof on top of the gingerbread house base.

5. Start painting the house with brown poster paint and the roof lining with white paint. Leave it to dry.

6. When the first layer of paint is all dried up. Paint the roof lining with red stripes to create a candy cane pattern. Leave it again to completely dry.

7. While waiting for your paint to dry, draw a house door and windows using your colored markers and paper.

8. Cut out the door and windows.

9. Glue the door and windows onto your gingerbread house and decorate it with different kinds of trinkets!
