Waddling for Waldo?

Jiller Searches for Santa

[Waddling for Waldo?]

Jiller Elf was a very clever elf. She was always able to figure things out for herself. Right now, she figured out that Tyler the Scientist was not going to be any help at all.

"If you don't believe that I'm an elf," she told him, "and if you don't believe that I'm here to search for another elf, then I have no time for you. Thank you for helping me with these penguins. I appreciate you telling me they think I'm their leader, but I have to be going now. Come on, boys," she said to the penguins, who squawked and honked happily, and waddled off after her.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Tyler shouted after her as she led the flock of waterbirds away. Tyler had been studying the penguins for a long time, and as interesting as they were, they didn't talk to him, and this woman--this elf--was the first person he had seen in months.

"Like I said, I have to find Santa--who is stuck inside Waldo Elf's body somewhere here at the South Pole," she called out to him.

[by Elvin Elf] Tyler sighed. The South Pole could be a dangerous place. She shouldn't go out looking by herself. Besides, she was taking all the penguins with her, so there would be nothing left to study.

"Wait! I'm coming with you," he called, and ran after her. Who knows, he thought. Perhaps he might find something new to study.

Will Tyler find more than he expected? Will the penguins ever leave Jiller alone? Keep reading The North Pole Times to find out!
