Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry liquid, extract, and food coloring in a bowl. Mix well.
Add flour and salt. Mix well.
Stir in cherries.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until you can see the lower edge is a light golden brown.
Remove from the oven and immediately press a candy kiss into the top of each cookie
