Elves Debate How to Handle the

On Thanksgiving, Santa Claus and Waldo Elf were blasted into orbit aboard The Santa Shuttle, an unfinished spaceship! While they are safe, they still can’t land. Santa is using his Wow-wee-whipper-do computer to keep in touch with everyone at the North Pole. The elves are working hard to find a way to get Santa back in time for Christmas!

Toy Production Crisis

With toy production at an all-time low, the elves are considering a bold proposal. "Since we don’t have many toys, maybe we should make it harder to get on the 'Nice' list," suggested Smitty Elf.

His idea was met with a loud chorus of screams and boos! "I know it’s not fun," Smitty continued. "But we have to face facts: There may not be enough toys for all the boys and girls on the 'Nice' list. We might have to be stricter about what we consider 'Naughty' behavior."

"How would we decide?" asked Bernard Elf. "Is teasing your little sister naughtier than hiding your dirty clothes under your bed? And who’s nicer: the girl who shares her dessert or the boy who shovels snow?"

The meeting quickly turned into shouts and arguments. Eventually, they asked Smitty to come up with a revised list of "Nice" rules and to keep the current Naughty/Nice system for now.

What Will Happen Next?
