As Santa speeds across the sky in the Santa Shuttle, elves at the North Pole are busy making rescue plans. Unfortunately, the unfinished shuttle can’t return to Earth because the “down” lever hasn’t been installed yet!
Many elves mistakenly think that Gizmo Elf, the inventor of the first Santa Shuttle, can whip up another one in just a few days. “What in the name of automatic lollipop lickers are those elves thinking?” Gizmo exclaimed. “Do they think I have spare rocket parts just lying around? Well, okay, I DID have some parts, but I used them on the FIRST Santa Shuttle!”
Hope is Not Lost!
But all hope is not lost! Gizmo Elf is confident he can get Santa back before Christmas. “I really believe I can get Santa back in time!” he said. “My toy-making machine, the Appendapulator, has a special switch on the back. If you flip it one way, it makes toys. Flip it the other way, and it makes rocket parts! If we start right now, we’ll have enough parts to build a rocket by December 23rd. Sure, that means no new toys for a bit, but at least we’ll get Santa back, right?”
Will Santa make it back in time for Christmas? And if he does, will there be any toys left for him to deliver?
