Editors Note: In what has become an annual tradition, Santa Claus writes a letter to the children of the world, to be published in The North Pole Times. We publish it here as a service to our audience.
Dear Boys and Girls:
Ho ho ho and happy holidays! Is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas where you live? What's Christmas look like in your town? What are your favorite things about Christmas? Up here at the North Pole, the wind blows colder, the nights get longer, and the Christmas light twinkle brighter than ever! The elves--who are always hard workers--seem to get even more energy. The reindeer become so excited that we have to have reindeer games to play, or else they might burst out of their stalls and fly all over the world!
Because we're always asked what Christmas is like at the North Pole, we've decided to publish the North Pole Times during the holiday season so that you have an idea of what's going on as we get ready for my yearly trip around the world on Christmas eve. There will be stories, and games to play, plus we've convinced Mrs. Claus to give us some of her favorite recipes for treats--maybe you and a grown-up could make a few for yourself!
Speaking of Mrs. Claus, she's just told me that the turkey's ready, so I'm going to have to sign off for now--but keep reading The North Pole Times every day between now and Christmas, for all your North Pole News!
Ho ho ho!
