You Little Boogerwig!

Boo’s Cold Heart

[You Little Boogerwig!]

Still hanging in the cage with Mikee and Waldo, Gizmo recalled the long-lost story about Boogerwig’s family.

Dear readers, it seems that little Boogerwig came to the wrong conclusion. His family didn’t leave him; nor did Santa take them away. No! There was another reason.

And though his heart turned colder than the North Pole itself, Boogerwig was still a member of the Laug Emel Galadrim tribe. A bit on the clumsy side? Yes! But he was once a sweet little elf who’s real name was Boone; or Boo for short.

His mom called him Boogerwig but once; when he made the mess dropping the lembas bread all over the floor. “You little Boogerwig!” were the last words little Boo heard from his mom.

His siblings also made fun of him by chanting “He’s little Boogerwig! He makes a mess of things!” His anger and hate from that night consumed him. As time went on, the anger grew. His heart became colder and colder, and he began to believe Boogerwig was his real name… until Gizmo called him Boo.

As you remember, the Laug Emel Galadrim tribe—which means Warm Heart Elves—came to help Santa with the presents before the current elves settled at the North Pole. The tribe, with magic in their hearts, saved Christmas that year and then went back to their distant homeland through a magic portal.

So why was little Boo left behind?

At the stroke of midnight that Christmas morning, the magic of the warm hearts took each WARM heart through the portal, but little Boo’s heart was cold with anger.

As time went on, Boone lived with the thought that his family had left him. His heart became colder; colder than the North Pole itself. So cold, in fact, that not even the magic of the whole Laug Emel Galadrim tribe could bring him home. His heart would freeze the portal whenever they tried to open it.

As the temperature of his heart continued to plummet, Boone’s looks changed from a sweet little elf boy to the creature he is now. That’s why Gizmo didn’t recognize him.

The sad truth is that little Boo could’ve opened the portal anytime, if only his heart had become warm again. But he didn’t know how... He still doesn’t know how.

But, when Mikee made him a heart from her bag of crafts, Boo began to realized what he had done! He now wants to help save Christmas like his parents did!

Dear readers, Boo opened the cage and released the elves. Waldo, Mikee, and Gizmo were finally free!

“It’s not too late! You CAN help save Christmas!” blurted Gizmo. “All we need is the secret antivirus code!”

“There be a very much tiny little problem,” Boo replied. “My mean virus that makes a mess at the North Pole destroys also my computer. I wanted to destroy the North Pole, and me computer too, so no one fix it. Boogerwig... no, Boo always messes up.”

“Uh-oh,” said Gizmo.

What do you think, dear readers? Can Boo still save Christmas? Can he deactivate the virus that caused the greatest mess at the North Pole ever?

We’re back tomorrow with the newest updates on this exciting story. Right here, on the North Pole Times!
