The Seven Swans and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

On the seventh day of Christmas, the elves were gathered by the glow of the northern lights, which danced across the dark sky. Santa smiled as he pointed to the shimmering ice. “On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, seven swans a-swimming!”

Seven elegant swans flew gracefully through the starry, frozen night and landed on a semi-frozen pond. The ice glistened under the shimmering auroras, and patches of open water allowed the swans to glide smoothly in the peaceful, quiet night.

“These swans,” Santa said, “represent the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy. Like these swans, who swim in harmony, we too are called to use our gifts to bring grace and goodness into the world.”

The swans moved with beauty and unity, despite the frozen surface beneath them. The elves marveled at how they glided effortlessly, and Santa’s words reminded them that, just like the swans, they must work together to bring light and love, even through dark times.

The elves promised to use their gifts of service and kindness to help others, understanding that each act of goodness, no matter how small, could make the world a better place.
